Green Manelishi buckles are an Innovative, Practical and Versatile hybrid of buckle and d-ring that dramatically increase gear management solutions for sport and technical divers.
There are currently two models: a Bryden and a Robson. Either will "lock down" on 2" webbing that is threaded
between the latch and body; this makes them ideal for technical divers using a backplate or backpack who want an easily adjusted, secure d-ring on the non-buckle side of their waist strap.
The Bryden buckle is available in two versions: "Sport" or "Technical". Both versions incorporate a pivoting d-ring.
|
| The Bryden "Sport" Buckle (patent pending) incorporates a low profile, pivoting accessory ring that allows the buckle to be quick released so it can be used as the primary buckle on a weightbelt, backplate or old-style backpack. If your conventional BC has 2" webbing the stainless steel Bryden can replace the plastic fastex buckle and provide you with a handy d-ring. I use a Bryden on my DUI W&T harness. On a backplate/backpack harness it can also be used to retain a small canister light or waist pocket. If you don't own, or use, a canister light or pocket, just use it by itself as a semi-permanent,easily adjusted d-ring on the waist strap. Depending on the diameter of the light canister, the pivoting ring on the Bryden "Sport" buckle might nest very deeply between the canister and waist strap, thus presenting a challenge to access. For retaining a canister light, etc. we suggest using either the Bryden "Tech" or Robson buckle. |

| The Bryden "Tech" Buckle (patent pending) incorporates a high profile, pivoting accessory ring that can easily be manually pushed out of the way so the buckle latch can be opened to facilitate repositioning the buckle, or removing it completely from the harness. Below are a few pictures suggesting how the Bryden "Tech" buckle can be used. |

| The Robson Buckle (patent pending) was designed for backplate and old-style backpack divers to use on the non-buckle side of their harness, most typically to retain a canister light but it can also be used by itself, to provide an easily accessible, stable and adjustable location for clipping a reel, strobe light, etc. NOTE: The Robson Buckle can be opened with gear clipped to the accessory loop but is NOT intended to be utilized as a primary, emergency release buckle. |
